About Us

The Youth Emergency Preparedness Council (YEPC) is a youth-led, Benevity-certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to educating and empowering teens. Through hands-on training, peer education, and youth-focused programs, YEPC helps young people build practical skills in three core areas: Emergency Preparedness and Response, Mental Health Awareness, and Fentanyl Drug Awareness.

YEPC operates through local chapters, each serving a district-wide region. Teen Chapter Leads organize workshops, awareness campaigns, community outreach activities, and service projects that address issues affecting their peers. These programs equip teens with the knowledge and confidence to support their well-being, make informed choices, and prepare for and respond to emergencies.

Through partnerships with local, state, and national agencies, YEPC connects teens with opportunities to learn from professionals, develop leadership skills, and serve their communities. Our approach puts youth at the center: learning together, supporting one another, and leading efforts to build safer, healthier, and more prepared communities.
